I don't know that they're common, but I have certainly seen a number of posts on this board and other forums and listservs from folks who have had them identified. I have three or four that haven't changed in a long time and my pulmo has dismissed them as "fungus". I live in Iowa, and apparently that's pretty common here. More times than not, they turn out to be nothing to worry about. However, they are always watched to see if they change.....that's the key, and unfortunately, you just have to wait to see if they do change.

Ditto. Actually, I don't know if they're any more common in those of us with COPD than other people but since we tend to get ctscans, they are usually detected whereas those without copd usually don't get scanned. BTW, I had several and one of mine actually disappeared. The others are still there though. |
