What about if you take blood thinners? I would be hesitant to use both. I was told at my transplant evaluation that I would be on small dose aspirin after surgery and would have to switch back to Coumadin from Eliquis too. It is easier to monitor the levels with an INR test.
I read the entire article and just wasn't impressed by the success rate they listed - it may have been statistically significant but it was less than 1% improvement - while I value every percent of lung function I have, I don't think it would be worth killing my stomach by taking aspirin
Many people already take a .81mg aspirin as a preventative for heart issues. If it help with my breathing, that's fine. I just had a spirometry yesterday for the first time in four years and my FEV1 was a point higher than it was in 2000 when I was first diagnosed. If the baby aspirin I take daily had anything to do with that, I'm all for it!
Exercise not only lets me live, it enables me to have a life.
