Hi I'm trying to quit. My quit date is April fools day. Have lozenges ordered. I might quit sooner. Any cold turkey tips. OH HI to everyone.

I think you have done the right thing by the DECISION to quit. It is doable and will be the best thing you have ever done in your life. Cold turkey is the best way with some help as the lozenges you ordered. I do not know anything about them, but just find other things to do. Change your routine as much as you can, clean your house as much as you can, drink lots of water, have snacks laying around (healthy ones preferably but anything will do at first), keep moving.
I think the first week and maybe the second are the worst and from there it is a piece of cake.
Well, maybe a whole cake!
Take nice deep breaths of air outside when you have the urge, and drink a glass of water and it will pass.
Do not let anyone smoke in your home or car and stay away from smokers close proximity.
I hope these tips help, as they helped me. I smoked for 33 years and have been smoke free for three years and four months. Yippeee!!!

When ever I had any kind of success with quitting (2 months + ) I would brush my teeth every time I felt an urge to smoke.

If you take the advice of celebrities you get what you deserve.

Boy, to quit smoking! Use whatever method you can and stick with it as long as possible. Hopefully till the coffin nails are are part of the far past. Hopes and wishes with you bbain.
