Here's an old statement from tsainta back in 2014 that I found:

". . . except that red wine, and to a lesser extent other alcohol, seems to aggravate the asthmatic component of my COPD (the underlying asthma being a lifelong problem that was pretty dormant from my early teens until my mid-50s)"

Now, being thrifty, I've been buying a cheap red blend - sometimes by the box. (Maybe it has more preservatives?) Lately, I have been mucusy and my obstruction seems more pronounced. And, what's worse, my sleep is more disturbed - more air resistance breathing in.

So, for one week no red wine. Only beer and some bourbon. We'll see.

When I drank the wine it caused a breathing restriction, not mucus--but everyone is different.

All cheap red wine ever did to me was make me stupid. My wife claims it was the quantity not the quality
