I have read that many of you are on a low dose of prednisone daily. Can you tell me what mg's you are taking and if you feel it helps. I want to ask my Dr. to prescribe that for me. I have taken it previously for an excerbation and felt wonderful. thanks

If your like me you can get lost in all the posts on the boards so I use the search in the upper right corner and type in what I am looking for. Got some good results for prednisone posts in the COPD Forums / COPD Support - COPD Information. Overall it seems people really like it and feel it helps

I have been on 10mg of prednisone for four years and am happy with the results. I also always have enough on hand to take a burst, 4 daily for 4 days three for three and etc if I have an exasperation. Many oof us here have this schedule.

Thanks for your responses. I am now on 5mg a day of prednisone. Started out with the 4,3,2,1 dosage. I do think I feel better. Hope it isn't just in my head.

I take 10mg on M,W,F , not sure how much it helps, but now my eye pressure is up, glaucoma since starting prednisone, my eye doctor says he thinks it is related. Eye drops, 5ml, $429.99 before insurance.
Check with your doctors.

My Dr. didn't seem to be concerned when I asked him to prescribe this. At 82 with countless other issues, I'm not concerned about the side affects. Feeling better is worth it. for me anyway.
